Why do I have the feeling...

...that I've seen the angry dog character somewhere before...did you make a series with him before? Well anyway...the characters are great, just love them! I had a good laugh with the suicide bears, they have serious mental issues! :P Keeping an eye out for the next episode, they're great!

Was ok...but:

Please, to all the people who make a series of short sketches:

STOP WITH THE NOISE SOUND AND VISUALS IN BETWEEN!!!

It really pops you out of the hilarity of the movies, if you want the viewer to really start laughing, just put the different sketches right after each other, in a nice tempo. The fast welds between the sketches can really contribute to the hilarity. But I see a trend coming up of putting noise in between... but that REALLY doesn't work. It's just easy...

Well: for the rest it's a nice movie :) There was some humor in it.

Great style

You only used like 3 grayish colors in the whole movie, what gave it a really dark atmosphere, you've really got that one down. No words where needed to tell this story, I think it's even better without the voice-acting. The characters came across really believable. Only her arm was a bit strangely drawn when she points her gun at him (when it's supposed to be in perspective). The gun and hand should be bigger in relation to her body if you use that angle. And when he leaves the restaurant and stands on the sidewalk, lack of detail kinda shows when he stands still.

And there's only a small hole in your story...he would go away for only a few seconds, but do you really expect a woman to stay put for all the time he's gone? The fact that he left the restaurant during their dinner to ice someone was hard to swallow. If he had to leave because his mother was hanging on a rope in the hands of the enemy, that would be believable. But it was short, so you had to use some shortcuts...that's OK I guess.

Tip for the next time you want to set a dark and moody atmosphere: use real black shadows and unlit area's. Your scenes where overall really well lit, and I think you've could play with light a lot more (like her stepping from the shadows and showing her face in the spotlight). The things you can't see are the most exciting things at the same time.

But the movie was sweet in overall. Looking forward to your next submission.

High Quality Flash

Wow... that was some awesome story writing and voice-acting. The animation was alright as well, but in this case the animation wasn't as important as the rest. I really enjoyed the story, the plot was clever and flawless. Loved how you used ultra-American-cliches and gave them a twist around, like the '2 girlfriends'-ending where she pulls the circle away and tells her own ending. The moral is a fresh one as well, material affection is really an issue of this time.

The only thing that bugged me was the extreme lip animation she had going on, even when you use caricaturistic characters you overdid it quite a bit.

But all in all, you've pointed out what's the most important in animation: telling a good story, and the rest is bonus. 9 stars for you my friend.

Kinda clear to me

It is a movie about thoughts...and if you keep all your thoughts to yourself you will loose order in your head and nobody will understand you and nothing will ever happen. But when you straighten your thoughts out and share what's bothering you, you can get others to understand you and do something with the thoughts you wish to share. So in short, when you don't share anything, nothing will ever happen.

Subtle movie, but inspiring. Good style too!

A job well done!

You are gifted with the power of great storytelling i'm telling you ;) The way you create a mood and world around your words and music is just superb. Nice for you to have done all the work yourself, music included, it just flowed seamlessly in your art. Also the (hard and time-consuming) frame by frame animation really stood out, and made the characters look more alive then if they'd be symbol animated. As for the story itself, it really got me curious about the sequel. But next to all the splendor of this animation, there were a few small points that could use a little improvement:

// music
try to isolate your recordings a bit more, there was a vast amount of voices and enviromentnoise in the background.

// animation
the point where you try to cut the foreground and the background trees loose with layers, you could have created a bit more layering in the animation, for it was a bit obvious that it where 2 pictures sliding among eachother.

As for the actionscenes: when you try to do quick motion with lower framerates, you could consider using some cut-techniques like changing camera-angles and flashes instead of viewing the complete action frame by frame. It could save some precious time for you aswell keeping the speed in the animation ;)

That's all that could use some improvement I guess, I'm really looking forward to see the next animation coming from you. You have some real potential, keep this series up, it aught to be a succes!

What could you hear in the background? I thought I was being pretty good about making sure I recorded when no one was around... Although, when I was recording Brian's voice, his dogs were walking around, and I notice some dog tag jingling. Also, in the credits sequence, you can hear the neighbor's dog barking in the distance... I guess I left that in because it sounded weird... I also didn't notice it until much later.

It truly gave me goosebumps,it hit me in the heart

Maybe you shouldn't think of it as a physic and literal heaven, but the heaven in the human heart..like an emotion. The message was truly marvelous..you can feel like you're in heaven..but without anybody to share it with, it's just a place. It's just so true, and with those graphics the whole mood was set. Truly great, it's rare to see something like this nowadays.. I thank you for this movie...it enriched my mind.

Only the way she walked was a bit ungracious, but it didn't make the movie any less. My 5 points are for you my friend.

Great style, you know how to set the mood!

The character design was really great on this one! As everybody must remember: beauty doesn't allways lays in perfection, but in the human flaw of creation. The fact that the movement was a little unnatural really did the trick to me, it made you go into a world beyond our own. The music was really wel composed, and fitted the animation just perfect. You get my 5 points for this ;)

We'll be seeing from you in the future i'm sure...I love your animations!

Original, quite nice indeed!

Liked the old black and white style, only the voice was a bit to clear for a complete old fashioned feel. The graphics were quite nice, a little static but nicely drawn. And I laughed at some points, all in all it's a nice movie. Not spectacular, but I enjoyed it.

Not bad, but it wasn't really clear...

Why was his morning ruined?? What did the author do? A little confusing, and all in all not really funny because he was just 'saving the day'....And WHAT IS HE???

Sorry, but it had a weak storyline, weak characters and weak audio.
Graphics were quite nice, nothing to say about that.

Try a bit harder next time making a good plot and character backgrounds. No blammer, that's for sure ;)
